Technology Services
Technology Services supports government ministries in the delivery of programs and services to Albertans. Technology Services provides and maintains the required information and communications technology infrastructure and maintains and evolves the government’s information and communications technology infrastructure to ensure its voice, data and video communications needs are met.
Technology Services is divided into three areas: Operations - Infrastructure Support, Operations - Planning and Support, and Operations - Service Delivery.
Operations - Infrastructure Support
Delivers data centre management services, application and utility server services, mainframe services, Local Area Network (LAN)/Wide Area Network (WAN) services, and Alberta SuperNet operations.Operations - Planning and Support
Supports the SuperNet contract, the Alberta First Responders Radio Communications System (AFRRCS) project and provides support functions including, but not limited to, strategic and operational planning, budget, communications, service level management and reporting, regulatory and technology trials.
Operations - Service Delivery
Delivers Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications, corporate applications and business applications maintenance, and development services, service desk services and worksite and desktop support services.
