Outstanding Customer Service Awards
The Outstanding Customer Service Awards recognize excellence, best practices and innovation in customer service. These awards also illustrate Service Alberta’s high standards in management and training of customer service professionals.
Who can be recommended for an award?
Any part-time or full-time Service Alberta employee who has gone above and beyond to provide outstanding, innovative customer service or improve a process or service can be recommended.Anyone from the public (external client) or within the Alberta Government (internal client) can recommend a Service Alberta employee for an award.
Recommendation Criteria
The award recipient will have demonstrated one or more of the following customer service skills:- Responsiveness to customers
- Efficiency
- Professionalism
- Innovation
How do I recommend a Service Alberta employee for an award?
The Award Recommendation Form is provided in MS Word format. There are two ways to submit your recommendation:- Type directly into the Word document, save it to your PC, and send it as an e-mail attachment to SA.HR@gov.ab.ca
- Print the form and send it in a sealed envelope marked confidential to:

How are the award recipients chosen?
Award recipients are chosen based on the following criteria:- Client completes and submits an Award Recommendation Form
- All recommendations are reviewed by the Employee Recognition Committee made up of representative from Service Alberta’s divisions
- The Employee Recognition Committee will hold a random draw to select the recipients
- All recommended individuals will receive a certificate
- The winners receive a special notification and invitation to the Annual Employee Awards Ceremony
- The winners are presented their awards at the Annual Service Alberta Recognition Ceremony
