Certain types of equipment, due to size, location, or specialized nature may be put up for sale by public tenders. This may include:

- specialized equipment

Invitation to Tender forms must be received at the appropriate Surplus Sales office by the closing date for the bid to be considered.
Successful bidders are contacted by phone or email.
Invitation to Tender forms are also available at the Calgary and Edmonton sales outlets.
Payment
Payment can be made by:

- certified cheque
- money order
- Visa
- Mastercard
- Visa Debit
Certified cheques or money orders are to be payable to the Government of Alberta.
Maximum transaction amount for Visa and Mastercard purchases is $2000.00.
All purchases must be paid for in full before removal from the premises.
