Pay a photo radar or traffic ticket online, instead of in-person at a registry office or court.
A notice of a fine, summons or violation ticket will have a ticket number and will say if you can pay it online:
- if you pay online, a service fee and GST will be added
- a late fee will be added if the fine isn’t fully paid by the due date
- any portion of an unpaid fine may prevent you from getting a motor vehicle service
What’s important to know
The payment system will be offline for routine maintenance during these times:
- Monday to Saturday: 9:55 PM to 10:20 PM
- Sundays: 6:55 AM to 12:05 PM
How to make an online payment
You will need:
- the ticket number from the violation ticket, offence notice or summons
- a credit card (VISA, MasterCard or American Express)
- a current web browser (Internet Explorer 6 or higher, Firefox, Chrome or Safari)
There are two ways to pay your fine online:
- If you are an Alberta Motor Association (AMA) member: AMA online fine payments
- If you aren’t an AMA member: e-registry online fine payments
