Service Alberta's divisions are committed to delivering high-quality business, financial, information and technology services to government ministries as well as a diverse range of services that touch the lives of Albertans. The divisions follow a one government approach, enabling government to act seamlessly and provide easy access to programs and services for ministries and all citizens.
Consumer Services works to ensure a fair marketplace for both buyers and sellers, and acts as a point of contact for the public, provides copies of government law and regulations, and negotiates settlements involving unfair trade practices and residential disputes.
Open Government provides policy and governance support and expertise, leads the open government agenda, and supports the accountability and transparency of government.
Registry Services provides registry and search services for land titles, motor vehicles, personal property, vital statistics (for example, birth, death and marriage), and corporations and non-profit organizations. The division is also responsible for managing the delivery of registry services through Alberta’s network of private registry agents.
Service Modernization is responsible for leveraging information and communication technology to modernize how government delivers services and interacts with Albertans.
Shared Services provides services to partner ministries to support them in their program delivery. The division is responsible for shared services such as procurement, accounts payable and receivable, Crown debt collections, employee pay and benefits, enterprise resources planning system, vehicle fleet management, surplus sales, administrative services including print, mail and courier, office equipment, and telecommunications.
