Development Principles
The ongoing development of the Alberta SuperNet is governed by a well-defined set of principles:
- Financially sustainable network
- Network that expands to handle growth
- Purchase or lease existing infrastructure (i.e. leverage existing assets) for connections
- Open and equal participation opportunity for private sector
- Promote competition and rural development
- Ensure affordable and timely services are available for government, learning, health, libraries and municipal (GoA/LHLM) programs
